Hello, I’m Angela.

Therapist, integrative health coach, pattern observer, occasional overthinker, fuelled largely by curiosity and coffee.

I help women understand why they feel stuck and build practical, compassionate ways forward.

Over the years, I've become increasingly interested in why so many thoughtful, capable women find themselves caught in patterns that no longer serve them. Often the answer is far more understandable than it first appears.

My approach is collaborative, down-to-earth and grounded in evidence-based therapy. Together, we'll make sense of what's happening beneath the surface and explore what might help things feel different.

What Drew Me To This Work.

One of the reasons I became a therapist is because I learned that we do not have to stay stuck in patterns that are making life harder.

What has kept me interested ever since is noticing how many women spend years blaming themselves for difficulties that often make far more sense than they first appear.

They tell themselves they need more discipline, more confidence, more willpower, or that they are somehow not enough.

Often there is much more going on beneath the surface.

Over the years, both professionally and personally, I've become increasingly interested in the ways self-criticism, body image, eating patterns, perfectionism, social expectations and cyclical changes in mood can shape how women see themselves and respond to life's challenges.

Helping people understand those patterns with greater curiosity and compassion is one of the things I enjoy most about this work.

How I Work.

My work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and informed by compassion-focused approaches, behavioural science, and nutrition-informed practice where appropriate.

Together, we explore the patterns that may be keeping difficulties going, whether that involves self-criticism, eating patterns, body image concerns, PMDD, emotional overwhelm, or feeling stuck in ways of coping that no longer seem to help.

Therapy with me is both reflective and practical. Understanding is important, but so is finding realistic ways forward that fit your life, values and current circumstances.

My aim is not to tell you what to do. It is to help you make sense of what is happening, develop greater self-understanding, and build a more flexible and compassionate way of responding to life's challenges.

A Bit More About Me

Outside of work you'll usually find me running, reading, walking the dog, doing my fair share of mum-taxi duties, drinking coffee, or convincing myself that buying another notebook will somehow make me more organised.

I'm endlessly curious about why people do what they do and probably spend more time than is strictly necessary thinking about human behaviour.

I value honesty, humour, evidence-based thinking and conversations that go a little deeper than the weather.

Life is often messier, funnier and more complicated than we'd like it to be, and I think most of us could benefit from being a little kinder to ourselves along the way.

Therapy is a partnership. You bring you, I’ll bring my training, experience and curiosity - and we’ll figure out what helps.
